Character Headcanons
I’m was still not on a train, but I am was still on a plane, and this head canon was also suggested by my darling @sirburt
“How would they cope with an unexpected, anonymous valentines gift?”
Storm, Ignan - treat with suspicion and defuse traps in private.
Storm, Johann - quiz Balfour carefully for signs it was him who sent it and if not him, enlist his help in opening it safely should it be from Ira.
Storm, Camille - be very flattered (and hope it isn’t a student)
Gamp, Mortimer - dispose of it. He and Lyra don’t do surprise gifts, or valentines.
Gamp, Cepheus - suspect his sister or niece taking pity and then be very vigilant around the department for secret admirers.
Gamp, Ariadne - blush horrifically.
Pinn, Nadine - quiz her partner and then open with caution as may be a prank from colleagues
Pepper, Francis - be flattered it was from Gabrielle or quietly mortified if not
Pepper, Ambrose - not stop smiling, and keep re-asking Juni if it was her.
Pepper, Monty - put it pride of place on the mantle piece but suspect his wife and daughters conspired.
Glass, Edwin - chuckle and place in the box with the rest for further handwriting analysis
Musgrave, Lawrence - run. Cannot be good.
Shufflebottom, William - suspect his young children and feel honoured
Mordent, Elixa - post an ad in the prophet inviting the anonymous sender for a date
