Character Headcanons
I’m was not on a train, but a plane, and this head canon was suggested by my darling @sirburt
“How do they prepare to go out for dinner with friends?”
Storm, Ignan - this is a somewhat rare occasion, especially now married it involves coordinating Miranda out of the hospital. A bath, suit (probably one purchased from Darian Morgan) and a lot more attention to detail than a teaching situation. May involve cuff links. Prepared on time exactly.
Storm, Johann - likely dashed in late. May have trouble prising self from Balfour. Shower, fresh shirt, no tie unless strictly necessary. Polishes shoes and may mentally rehearse suitable dinner topics.
Storm, Camille - rather relaxed often with a glass of wine. Much time in her dressing gown perfecting her hair and makeup. Lays out possible outfits on the bed beforehand.
Gamp, Mortimer - pretty much always wears the same dark robes and knows exactly how long it takes to get ready. Finds dinner conversation tiring.
Gamp, Cepheus - takes great pleasure in eating out with company. Will have a smoke before getting ready. Often has to charm cat hair off as Claude will jump up on the bed as he gets ready and demand attention.
Gamp, Ariadne - a whirlwind of activity! Tries three outfits and is still a bit hit and miss at hair charms as only just of age.
Pinn, Nadine - plans outfit in advance in her head and ensures it is laundered in good time. Punctual, or fashionably late situation dependent.
Pepper, Francis - fusses over matching or complimenting whatever Gabrielle wears.
Pepper, Ambrose - is sent back to change frequently and recomb his hair. Pays more attention these days but is often accompanied by his father so is yet to experience true independence of the dinner date.
Pepper, Monty - has to be prised out of his studio by Catherine as often distracted. Sometimes finds it hard to find something untouched by paint. Often underdressed.
Glass, Edwin - drinks while getting ready and tends to stick to three piece suits.
Musgrave, Lawrence - dinner guest?!!
Shufflebottom, William - Gladys-May has to attempt to charm and repair the one suit Willy has ever owned.
Mordent, Elixa - music, singing, flamboyance, much jewellery, perfume, charms to the hair. It is as much a part of the evening as the rest.
