Pet Headcanons
I’m on a train to see a special person, so time for pet headcanons.
Edit: I’m suddenly aware my characters don’t currently own many animals.
Storm, Ignan - has never elected to keep a pet. Has looked after working animals on his travels, like a hippogriff (eaten later). Doesn’t feel the need.
Storm, Johann - never kept pets. Since moving to Britain he is better acquainted with dogs than cats. Convinced the Fates (Balfour’s cats) hate him yet adores Whiskey. Gets on well with Arc’s kneazle, Rustle, probably more a dog person. Yet to have one of his own.
Storm, Camille - the family had dogs when she was young, and fond of horses. Generally animal free as an adult. This may change.
Gamp, Mortimer - animals are for eating, working and experiments.
Gamp, Cepheus - cat person! Adores Claude (de Pussy, pun on the composer) and will actively seek out feline affection.
Gamp, Ariadne - into foreign animals and exotic pets but never been able to keep one.
Pepper, Francis - never owned an animal and wonders where Ambrose gets his interest from.
Pepper, Ambrose - never owned his own because of money and space at home but is absolutely fanatical about everything!
Pepper, Monty - there have been the odd family cats, Theta’s included.
Glass, Edwin - family cat a long time ago. It got run over.
Musgrave, Lawrence - dog person. Had one after leaving Hogwarts, but let an ex girlfriend take it to live with her as it became impractical as years went on. Made regular excuses to visit until she married.
Shufflebottom, William - what hasn’t he owned? Shhhh.
Mordent, Elixa - cat person but never been practical to own one. Spoils Arc’s cat Rustle.
