Weekday lunch headcanons
Weekday lunch headcanons for the train home….
Ignan - often catches a brief bite to eat but uses the time to follow up students at their lunch tables or tutor the odd one.
Johann - only taken when he has company, official or social. Always an air of rushing off and something more important to do, cannot snap out of ‘work mode’ easily. May take it in the building with the odd closer colleague, for instance to test Pinn on her conversational skills in new languages. If very lucky manages to catch it with Balfour.
Camille - enjoys lunch with the hubbub of the great hall but tends to take soup or salad. Takes time to converse with colleagues and students.
Edwin - doesn’t lunch. If he needs a break he leaves and walks somewhere alone. If he does have to lunch it is for strategic reasons. May be a member of a London club.
Mortimer - takes lunch in his office, if at all. Brought by his family’s house
Ariadne - always ravenous for lunch and eats well.
Ambrose - much the same but will wrap up fruit, cheese and bread to take it while supervising animals in warmer months.
Francis - takes lunch with colleagues from other departments as he encounters them, including Gabrielle, theta and Johann.
Monty - eats when he feels hungry but may not every day if absorbed in painting a sitter or working on a car.
Lawrence - steals something where possible.
Willy - when thy have food, ploughmans in their kitchen with Gladys-May or ham, cheese, bread, fresh fruit and veg. Otherwise little.
